昨年末に発生したスマトラ島沖地震の津波による被災者に対して、北海道タイランドクラブでは義援金の受け付けを行ってまいりましたが、皆様の多大なご協力を頂き、総額￥500,563のご支援を頂くことができました。心より御礼を申し上げます。
集められた義援金は全てバンコクに本部を置く「タイ女性基金」 (日本語版はこちら)に手渡され、タイの被災者への支援活動に活用されます。現在タイ女性基金では津波による被災者に対して２つの活動に焦点をあてています。津波で家族を亡くした女性や子供たちに金銭的援助を行うこと、そして津波で教師を亡くしてしまった小学校へボランティア教師を送ることです。北海道タイランドクラブの代表を務める織田豊伸が皆様から頂いた義援金全額をタイ女性基金へ手渡します。
一刻も早く被災者へ援助が届くために、短期間で行われた緊急募金活動であったにも関わらず、多くの方々から温かいご支援を頂きました。心より御礼を申し上げます。ありがとうございました。

REPORT ON URGENT FUNDRAISING
|
Following the massive earthquake and tsunami disaster, which occurred
along the island of Sumatra at the end of 2004, we, Hokkaido Thailand Club, have
launched an urgent appeal for donations to help the victims. Thanks to everyone
who generously responded to our appeal with their kind donations, we have raised
\500,563.
All of the money raised is to be delivered to “the Foundation for
Women” and will be used for helping the Thai tsunami victims. The Foundation for
Women is now focusing on two projects for assisting the victims : one is to
financially assist women and children who have lost their families due to the
tsunami crisis, and the other is to send volunteer teachers to elementary
schools where the teachers have been lost. Mr.Toyonobu Orita, representative of Hokkaido Thailand Club, will be
forwarding all the donations to the Foundation.
Our fundraising campaign was short-term, as it is necessary to get
the money to those who need help as soon as possible. However, we still received
a very generous amount of donations. We would like to thank you again for your
contribution.

2005年2月16日にオーム君、タイさんと12時に待ち合わせをし、『タイ女性基金』の事務所に義援金50万円と200バーツを届けました。
メンバー代表、書記（経理）また今回の仲介をしていただいた方と被害の写真を見ながら話をする事が出来、被災者に対する女性ならではのとても細やかな心配りを感じました。
北海道タイランドクラブの活動を写真を見せながら説明してまいりました。先方は、タイランドクラブのメンバーで被災地を見学視察したい方々がいましたら、同行して便宜を計ってくださるとおっしゃってくださいました。
会談では、大変感謝を受け、短い時間でしたが私にとってもいろいろな意味で、大変有意義のある時間を過ごしました。
今回、同行していただいたオーム君、タイさんには、自分の仕事を休んでにいただき、とても感謝いたします、心からお礼申し上げます。
また、今回私たちの義援金活動に対しまして、賛同いただきました皆様に対し心からのお礼を申し上げ、ご報告と致します。
